Breath is the vital link between psyche and body because the breath provides energy and energy is the basis of life and vitality. I remember when I used to be surprised by the number of people who breathe backwards, rapidly or only as deep as their chest. Healing requires us to reconnect with the breath. I offer three options for clients who are ready.
Breath Connect
Breathing is something you do on your own, right? First we need to check our breath, is it deep or shallow'; is it slow or fast; is the body expanding or contracting on the inhale-on the exhale? Take 1-3 minutes to observe the breath. See how it changes after each minute.
I like to guide all my clients to proper breathing as a mode of healing. This service is part of every therapy. Breathing deep and slow into the lower abdomen helps detoxify the inner organs, promotes blood flow and peristalsis and pumps fluid more efficiently though the lymphatic system.
